And, IIRC, many such functions have a LINKAGE= parm which may allow use
where an SVC is not allowed. Such as LINKAGE=BRANCH for WTO (though this
has rather strong requirements not met by most applications) . I rather
like using LINKAGE=SYSTEM when available. Of course, one must review the
doc to see what is available and the restrictions for each LINKAGE= method.
