If Adobe can manage to release their software on a continuous basis I would
have hoped that the production of mere softcopy documentation would not be
constrained to 15 month + intervals.

This is frankly not a lot better than we had 20 years ago, were we maintained,
and expected our customers to maintain, a hardcopy document with documentation
updates stapled to each page.

I'm pleased to say that the company I work for these days, we ship a new full
pdf with EVERY software change.
