My thanks to everyone who contributed to this thread. My initial thoughts were to run my code entirely in AR mode. I think that, in my case, that is "over kill". Basically I'm looking at writing a program which uses an EMCS console. The messages from the MCSOPMSG are contained in a data space. The MCSOPMSG returns an ALET, in AR1, and a pointer in GPR1 to the MDB. So I'm just going to go into AR mode after a successful MCSOPMSG call, copy the MDB contents into my DSA, then go back to primary space mode. No need to be overly complicated, no matter how much I love it. <grin/>
