Steve, Great - solves a lot of problems. The sample in the 6 page booklet ( http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21975742&aid=1 ) does show them nice.
What i am missing (or don't like) is this: >> What if I use ESYM() on z/VM or z/VSE ? >> ESYM() functionality is not available on those operating systems. If >> you use ESYM() on those >> systems, HLASM will issue message ASMA214E. I know for a fact that users of z/VSE do have the very same problems (as addressed by the samples in the book) I even wrote a routine for this. See here http://www.pi-sysprog.de/free/pigetprm.html Couldn't someone in Hursley do the same? Or even better integrated as ESYM (as opposed to SETCF) -- Martin Pi_cap_CPU - all you ever need around MWLC/SCRT/CMT in z/VSE more at http://www.picapcpu.de
