PDF or HTML (Bookie?) PDF is inexorably presentation-oriented; I've never seen it reflow lines to fit a screen. HTML, originally invented as semantic-oriented can do much better (unless the author compulsively defeats it). Page numbers are another presentation anachronism: section numbers should suffice. Breaking a publication into Part 1, Part 2, ... to satisfy the restrictions of hardcopy binding is even worse. -- gil
