Yeah. Also LARL only works for even addresses. What happens (too lazy to test) if I code LARL R1,=X'012345' and the literal would fall on an odd address?
Use ORG appropriately.
Is the assembler smart enough to bump it to an even address? Or do I get an assembly error on the LARL? Seems odd to me that they limited LARL to even addresses. For Branch Relative it makes sense; for Load Address Relative not so much.
