START with an address was useful for writing stand-alone code,
which can be IPLed by preceding it with 3CARD LOADER (which
seems to have grown to 5 cards since I used it in the 1970s).

My company decided to get rid of their card punch and reader but
stand-alone dump/restore at the time still needed control card
input, so I wrote a little stand-alone full screen editor for
our 4331 console which could be IPLed from tape and write up to
a screenful of control card images to another tape to be used as
input.

Fortunately, the stand-alone dump/restore program acquired a
capability to take control information from the console soon
afterwards, which was a much simpler solution.
