Hi,

Just committed a bunch of changes which resolve all known issues with
the incorporation of the reliable transport.

So, I'm pretty happy with that.

The one known issue is that the nanoprobes take 10 seconds to shut
down. This is because they aren't hearing the final ACK to their "I'm
shutting down now" message. The 10 second timeout is to allow for the
fact that things might get lost, and the CMA might have rebooted, and
other things. But it shouldn't be triggered every time. But, this is
a minor issue - relatively speaking - and not terribly surprising.

I'm feeling nearly 100% from my earlier cold - but that's just in time
to go back to work :-(. The cold and the holidays put me about 2 weeks
later than I hoped. But I had great holidays in spite of the cold. I
hope yours were the same!

I need to do something about startup and shutdown scripts and so on. No
pid files are kept, no locks are taken when the software starts - that
kind of thing. It still needs to be done.

But right now, it seems like it's in passably good shape - and those
issues aren't complicated.

I'll let you know how things progress.

Wishing you all an Happy, Prosperous and Generally Awesome New Year!
