*8 months* *SAP Technical Architect* Environment: This client is live with ECC 6 and needs a very strong customer facing SAP Technical Architect. This person will have come up through the ABAP/Basis side of things have work on the overall landscape of the SAP environment. This person will work the PM, client, business, SAP Managers on the stability and future modifications of the SAP environment. The consultant will act as a liaison and be responsible for the overall Technical Stability of the SAP environment. Key Responsibilities: Customer Relationship and Requirements Development . Understand client business needs & objectives; participate with client or Product manager to define architecture requirements and strategy . Provide detailed definition on how the architecture will support the application(s) . Conduct impact analyses of technical requirements on the system . Analyze, determine, and document technical requirements for project, work request or defect . Work with Application Architects in defining software/hardware requirements and in planning and delivering architecture . Build strong internal or external customer relationships and manage expectations at all levels, including customers/end users, and Account Delivery Team(s) Deliverable Quality Management and Creation . Plan and develop technical standards for Client Service and/or Product Development Teams . Determine the technical approach, direction and implementation for a work request to ensure proper design . Lead, direct and participate in new technology adoption . Participate in design code and test reviews as appropriate . Review, prioritize and research application change requests . Provide assistance in scheduling design work . Prepare contingencies, scenarios, scenario plans and action items to resolve issues . Communicate and resolve application interface issues People Development and Management . Estimate and procure required staffing, skills, and other resources as needed . Ensure work assignments use skills of Application Technical Architect team members and offer opportunity/challenge for skill development . Develop and mentor people, act as a career counselor and create a high performing organization (foster relationships, resolve conflicts, etc.) . Ensure performance evaluations of direct reports are objective and timely . Address performance problems as needed Team Project/Support Management . Lead or participate in setting service levels. . Create work plans which define scope, resources, milestones, quality, risk, deliverables, and acceptance criteria . Ensure that application technological design remains within project scope . Coordinate the design and development of technical work estimates . Provide accurate and useful project, architecture or issues status reports . Ensure goals for teams are being met and manage group commitments . They are looking for an individual who has experience customizing and developing RF transactions through EWM for their hand held devices to be used throughout these locations from a coding, development, and modification stand point.
