I only use port 25 for inbound mail - all outbound mail is relayed 
through port 587 for all users.

It SHOULD be that way... SMTP-AUTH is used for sending/relaying mail - 
why would you want to do delaying, DNSBL, pointer checks, etc, on your 
own users/network? That is nuts...

I don't understand... the right way is to kick the mail admins to open 
the submission port (587) - anyone who doesn't support it is just stupid.
