No Processing meens, that ASSP will do no check on such mails, it will
forward them without processing (that meens more white than whitelist) !!
A good value for 'npSize' is 500000 ! Spammers never send larger mails.

If you want ASSP to block large mails, setup
'maxRealSize','maxRealSizeExternal','maxRealSizeError' and/or
'maxSize','maxSizeExternal','maxSizeError' to your needs. Or setup your
MTA to reject messages that are to large.

[Assp-test] Message Size Limit (npSize) problem

Hi!

ASSP Version: 2.0.1(RC 0.5.00) on Ubuntu

Sometimes Users send eMails with oversized Attachments to us.

All I see in the Maillog Tail is something like this:
Oct-20-09 14:50:57 42968-17446 [Worker_1] 209.85.220.223
<[email protected]> to: [email protected]
info: 1 attachment found for Level-1

mySettings are:
***************
Message Size Limit (npSize)
20000000
ASSP will treat incoming messages larger than this SIZE (in bytes) as 'No
Processing' mail. Empty or 0 disables the feature.
***************

The sender of the message will not be informed about this fact over a long
time and could not unterstand the problem.

Does there is no Information send to the sender like this ? <mail.host.com
#5.2.3 smtp;450 5.2.3 Msg Size greater than allowed by Remote Host>

I think it is a 'No Processing' mail issue.
This "Message Size Limit (npSize)" must be processed and if it out of
range, a info transmited to the sender e-mail address.

Is this feature not included or does i have a configuration failure?

Thx4Help

Martin
