Sorry I used a wrong term. > We can change that (allow 'dot' instead of '.') for all TLD's.
should be better > We can change that (search also 'dot' instead of '.') for all TLD's. or ... allow assp to search for btw. I've implemented this as an option in URIBL (default is off) in the next version. any '?d?o?t?' (? could be any non a-zA-Z0-9.) will be detected instead of a '.' if 'URIBLcheckDOTinURI' is enabled. But how > ever, for example this That's crazy, see, if (e.g.) you host an ML dealing with malware and/or phishing and so on, the usual way to "mangle" URIs to avoid them being filtered (yet they'll be "innocuous" as they are) will be to use "DOT" or to change (e.g.) "http" into "hxxp" and so on; so, the whole thing is totally a "no-issue-at-all", YET ASSP will be able to flag/discard junk emails containing that stuff (and more) w/o any change ;) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Join us December 9, 2009 for the Red Hat Virtual Experience, a free event focused on virtualization and cloud computing.
