Trevor, >It would certainly help admins not turn on functions that are not available, I know.
But, I currently don't see a way to do this. ASSP is reading the GUI text at the very begin, where we don't have the module information available. The STATS page is rendered 'on the fly'. Let me see, maybe I'll get an idea. Thomas Von: Trevor Jacques <[email protected]> An: ASSP development mailing list <[email protected]> Datum: 04.01.2010 16:35 Betreff: [Assp-test] UI suggestion Just had a thought: where the admin UI notes that a give module is required, could we have the same version required/available information as appears in the stats appear on the relevant line in the admin UI? For example: SYSLOG Centralized Logging (sysLog) Enables logging to UNIX Syslog. Needs Sys::Syslog for local (UNIX/LINUX) logging or Net::Syslog for Windows or Network logging. could read something like: SYSLOG Centralized Logging (sysLog) Enables logging to UNIX Syslog. Needs Sys::Syslog (Reqd.: 0.27 / Avail.: 0.25) for local (UNIX/LINUX) logging or Net::Syslog for Windows or Network logging. Or even just an available/unavailable coloured note. It would certainly help admins not turn on functions that are not available, or are not up to the required level. HTH.
