Hmmmm. I was wondering why I had problems getting mail from someone across 
town. It turns our that the DNs records are not set up very well (MX and A 
problems). I whitelisted the sender's address, expecting the mail to sail 
through. Turns out that the mail server is also on a DNSBL. This resulted in 
damping being turned on, even though the sender address is white listed. This 
should not happen. 

It is also important to note that the server domain HAS sent my server spam, 
before, so I can't white list the domain. 

Seems like we need to have whitelisted addresses have priority over damping, 
however that would have to be done. Otherwise, what's the point of white 
listing sender addresses?...
