Thanks Trevor J, I note that the latest (*.dev) ASSP 'crash' usually occurs with the last contents of my ASSP logs showing this info:
------------------ [Worker_1] 91.189.90.139 <[email protected]> info: found message size announcement: 10.20 kByte [Worker_1] [denyExtreme] 91.189.90.139 <[email protected]> connection from 91.189.90.139 denied by PenaltyBox Extreme '91.189.90.0' The above units come in rapid repeats (many bursts), then stop for a time. Tracing the ip given shows: Host name:adelie.canonical.com OrgName: RIPE Network Coordination Centre OrgId: RIPE Address: P.O. Box 10096 City: Amsterdam StateProv: PostalCode: 1001EB Country: NL ----------------- As you can see I have this IP listed in ASSP's [denyExtreme] db (for some time -actually = 5 months). I will consider adding the above email '[email protected]' toASSP's [preHeaderRe] Peter From: "Trevor Jacques" <[email protected]> To: "ASSP development mailing list" <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, June 01, 2011 11:26 PM Subject: Re: [Assp-test] fixes in assp 2.0.2_3.0.28 > >> The last 2 *.dev releases of ASSP actually do 'crash like a very bad >> tempered pig'. > > I noticed the 'crashing spam messages' coming into my server came back in > that period.
