OK - assume we've resolved all the IP's for all detected hostnames in
URIBL - this could be a hundred IP's for a single hostname!
Who do you want to ask, if these IP's are good or bad? The URIBL providers
? They already know the hostname and we've already ask them about .
Asking a RBL provider would be bad, because they only know bad SMTP hosts.
Also our block/black lists are only SMTP related - not HTTP/FTP...

They are not (or at least not as in how I was asking for). To be
explicit, I was asking for another option in the URBL processing areas to
for the following:
Extract all url's from the body of the email
Extract hosts from the url's
Convert host to DNS query of URBLs and check URIBLs

Get IP from Host
Convert IP into a DNSBL like DNS query using another set of DNSBL entries
(lets call ut the HOSTIPBL)

Why you ask? Because URIBL's use a number of techniques but they all
require the existence of the domain/host in order to list. There are a
lot of "bullet proof hosters out there as well as bogus ESP's who control
known IP blocks, stolen 'hijacked' netblocks and netblocks controlled
entirely by professional spammers. These are what I want the capability
to detect no matter what the host/domain name is on the URL. This will
catch URLs before the get listed in a URIBL.
