There is no such list in assp defined directly. The list is build at 
runtime (update time) by a query of the loaded modules.
'noModuleAutoUpdate' is used to select the update mode. How ever - if a 
module loaded by assp, loads mod_perl by its self, assp will try to update 
mod_perl. IMHO this should be not the case.

Only the fixed list NOT to autoupdate modules exists in addition to some 
hard coded modules (Math::Prime::Util::PP , ntheory). Read the GUI for 
'AutoUpdateASSP'!

"silent crashing" is directly due to one of ASSP's high workers hanging
on an attempt to update it.
