may not have enough non-spam messages. Not only does it need to know
what spam looks like, it needs to know what good mail looks like, too, or it
just won't recognize it.

I have 8,500+ spam-emails and have been running rebuildspamdb.pl nightly, but e-mails from customers are still flagged as spam.

I would deactivate Bayesian Filter for the first days or weeks
(depending on your volume), and run RBL alone. If you have 2000 or
more Spam-mails collected run rebuildspamdb.pl and set Bayesian on.
