Although an admitted Linux newbie, I have attempted to install ASSP on my Linux box running Red Hat & Cpanel. I used Cpanel to make sure I had all of the necessary Perl modules, then I uploaded ASSP to my root directory, created the "spam", "notspam" and "errors" folders and ran perl assp.pl. I logged into the control panel with Firefox and was able to make changes to the preferences. My SSH login echoed the changes I was making.
When I logged into the control panel this morning the "ASSP Information and Statistics" page is showing that it's been up for 0.857 days but hasn't processed any email. All of the rest of the stats are at "0". The SMTP Connections are always blank, and the Maillog Tail shows it is 'Unable to connect to greylist (and stats) server'.
In this situation, where should I look and what should I be looking for? (FYI, I disabled Telnet access to my servers so I couldn't use that to confirm ASSP was working.)
