If I deciphered Fritz correctly he suggested "changing the notspam status to
3".  

I understood this as changing the Bayesian Non Spam (baysNonSpamLog) in the
logging section to 3 instead of 4.

So if my assumption is correct, the notspam folder will then get what the
okmail mail was getting.  And since I discovered tons of spam in the okmail
folder, when the switch from 4 to 3 is done, should I copy those spam
identified as legitimate mail in the error\spam folder. Or is that what
would cause the corpus to get corrupted?

Do I make sense?

You should create a cleanup script for this.  I have one that I use for
Win32, but it requires a tool from the Windows Resource Kit.  If anyone
can find me an free/OSI/GNU equivalent to FORFILES.EXE, I'll post the
script to the Wiki.

Changing which status to 3 ?  I don't recall the original thread, so I'd
like to revisit exactly what you are doing.
