No , assp is fantastic .

I wish to use it on web hosting servers . Suppose hundred of users
using the email interface on the same server. Someone could put [EMAIL PROTECTED] in
black , someone in white .

If the white / black list could be per domain
from
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ^1164414457
to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ^1164414457^domain_user1.com

from my point of view could reduce the risk .
Each user will have their own black and white list !

I don't know if it will load excessively assp.

I could see a valid 
compromise as it having the whitelist working on a per-domain basis
instead. 
Maybe have that as an admin option.
