This new function isn't the same thing. Session Delaying sends a 451 4.7.1 to the connecting server, instructing it to retry later. Greeting Delaying causes ASSP to prevent the SMTP greeting from being sent to the connecting server for a specified amount of time. Session Delaying is useful because spambot/zombies will most likely not retry later. A true MTA will. Greeting Delaying is useful because spambot/zombies will most likely not wait to receive the SMTP greeting before issuing commands. A true MTA will.
