Thanks Matti. I'll check that this evening. I DO see it dropping the
connection every 10 errors. Is that something different or is it due to
the PB?

look if the server from your ISP is already in the PB-List
and their score is over PBextreme.

If yes,all connections from them will instantly cut of
without a message.

If they are on PB list, remove them and look if everything
works as expected (with the IP in ISPMX) ...

MEI> Come on, Andy. You know what I mean. Mailbag as a noun went out
with
MEI> the pony express. Today, it is perfectly ok to use mailbagging as
a
MEI> verb and I would hope most of the email admins on this list would
know
MEI> what I'm talking about.

MEI> Specifically, my ISP serves as a backup mail server for my domain.
If
MEI> my mail servers go down for any reason, my ISP mailbags for me OR
holds
MEI> my mail until the time that my servers come back up. By removing
them
MEI> as a secondary MX, they won't be able to offer this service to me.

MEI> The issue that I'm having is that they are holding mail for me that
I
MEI> refuse to take from them. This causes a problem because it ends up
back
MEI> on their server and will never be allowed to be delivered by my
servers
MEI> but will continue to attempt delivery because I terminated the
session
MEI> rather than telling them that I don't want the email.

MEI> I have tried putting them in the ISP MX field and have tried
'deliver
MEI> all mail' but neither of these fixes the issue. I have always had
them
MEI> in the ISP MX field so that obviously does not result in a fix and
MEI> placing them in the deliver all mail allowed them to circumvent my
local
MEI> addresses flat file so I'm in a quandary.

MEI> For the time being, I have asked them to stop mailbagging for me
but
MEI> that is not a long term fix. My plans are to set up a local
mailbag
MEI> server so I can see when mail starts backing up and to start
MEI> experimenting with the settings to see if I can find a solution
that
MEI> will work for both me and my ISP.

MEI> I very much so appreciate the wisdom and guidance that I receive
from
MEI> this list but really don't need any guidance in the proper use of
the
MEI> English language. :-)

MEI> Thanks Again,
