Thanks for the replies, Doug and George!
That was it. Two tests were in test mode, even though I had unchecked that
option. I'm now fully live. I left my machine running test mode over
Christmas break, and am finally in today to check on things. I have tons of
messages, so that's why I asked If I could delete messages. I am running
the databaseupdate script as we speak, though. So after that is finished,
and there are still tons of emails in there, I should be able to delete the
oldests messages, correct?

Thanks again
Great way to kick off the new year!

Hi Ernesto,

I'm new at this too, but have been through what you are asking about. You
might have test mode on for some of the checks that are determining tha the
messages are spam. Basicly if have, for example, Bayesian filtering turned
on in that section, then puttin a check in the test mode box for Bayesian
will let the message be marked as spam but delivered as if it were not.

The emails in the spam and not spam folders needs to collect to a point
where you have several hundered (hopefully of each). At that point you can
do the rebuild described in the getting started docs. After that you can
set up a task to run every so often to do the rebuild. I do mine daily. At
some point there is process to change the file naming process for collected
spam and not spam to use numbers instead of the subject. At that point, the
is another setting that limits the number of files in those directories. I
have not done any of the file-name-as-numbers yet.

Hope that helps.
