Unless I am missing something (wouldn't be the first time), in which case I would appreciate someone being able to fill in the blanks, using score-only options will only assign a score to a test, and leave it to the PB settings to determine whether or not to fail that particular email. That much I'm clear about and agree with. But here is where we differ. If my PB settings make the email fail, the email will be rejected as spam, and the IP will be blocked for PenaltyDuration (if memory serves that was the name of the variable). Now if I want to just block that one email, and not penalize the entire IP block, I would have to set PenaltyDuration to 0. Then the next email coming from that IP will be processed as normal. However, and here is the however, if I use the PB in that configuration, I cannot use the PB in order to block misbehaving IPs based on several failing emails. Unless I am misunderstanding the PB, one of its strengths is that it can calulate the penalty score over several emails to determine if an IP is misbehaving, and then block it at that point. However, if I were to choose to use the PB to block individual emails (as described above), this would prevent me from using it to block IPs based on a number of different emails. Am I misunderstanding how to use this? Thanks, Eric ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
