I'm a vocal tester, documenter, and sometimes, PITA - but I am not a
programmer. I know enough only to get me into trouble making minor
enhancements.

As I understand it:

The underlying code code falls to the responsibilities of multiple
people that have contributed code to enhance various functionality of
ASSP. Who did what is primarily listed under:

Fritz has graciously been the code maintainer in recent memory after the
project went stale for a while during John Hanna's extended absence. He
has has added extended ASSP's functionality considerably while being the
over-all code maintainer in the process.

The project "steering" is primarily what you see on this list. There is
no formal organization or committee behind it.

Some may see that as a weakness, but it can also be judged as its
strength. At least for the current user-base.
