Do I understand you right, that some other process is already using
Port 25 and yo could not locate it?
Port 25 ist the default port for SMTP-traffic. So if you have any SMTP
Server running on this machine, Port 25 will be in use.
Reconfigure Smartermail to listen on port 125 and start assp.
The Mail flow shoould be as in the wiki:
Incomming:
internet->ASSP(Port 25)->Smartermail(Port 125)->Client
Outgoing:
Client->Assp(Port 25)->Smartermail(Port 125)->internet
