Besides what the others have said, my first guess would be that you have one, some or all of the options "DNS, URIBL, SPF, or PTR validation for whitelisted users" turned on. But again turn the logging on to check. There are some really agressive DNSBL providers out there blocking "bulk lists" and what not.
