I see your point, fact is that I used this setup since I first
installed ASSP, following the directions on the ASSP
documentation page

I've ONE machine running ASSP and the mailserver,
the mailserver is listening on 125/tcp while ASSP is
listening on 25/tcp

incoming mail either from the 'net or from the LAN
connects to 25/tcp (that is ASSP) gets analyzed by
ASSP and then reaches the mailserver

outgoing mail flows directly out from the mailserver
to its destination either local or external

the above setup worked just fine, and is still working
fine (with 1.3.3.8) but *hangs* if I use 1.3.5 and I can't
understand why; if you want me to look at the config
and/or try changing some settings just tell me so

as a note, I tried for the THIRD time to subscribe the
betatesters list but w/o luck, I never got back the
mail requesting confirmation
