that I'm running to the latest? I had a copy of 1.2.4 which stated that

I think your best bet would be to find out the perl module requirements
for the latest public stable 1.3.3.8 and then implement 1.3.3.8 on a
test box or virtual machine.  Then, when you get everything configured
the way you want it, port it over to your production machine by copying
it (you'll only need to change the IP Address stuff to match your
production box once you do this).  Make sure your perl installation and
modules are the same on both boxes.  As far as the version of Perl goes,
you'd be safe using the latest version.
