Hmm 

Due to the separated send and receive connectors I have not been
successful yet.

Yes and No

It should be straightforward - I made no changes going from 2000 to
2007, but then again I run it on a server ahead of Exchange.

Any one running Exchange 2007 with ASSP?

If so how or do you know any site with good documentation on how to make
