Its really depends on your environment and how you business operates (whether or not OOO's are a business necessity. If not, then don't do it, as its not worth the risk. However, I do it with great success, but I operate a particular environment where I am able to afford to be specifically restrictive against the sources and content of spam.

In the end, whether you confirm your addresses with spammers or not, you will still end up with many of your addresses on a spammers list, and will be subject to spam repeatedly. It will only increase over time. IMO, its best to concentrate on your blocking and filtering practices, rather than worrying about the risk of confirming addresses.
