Hi Chris. What you need is ASSPR.

Obsidian-Studios, Inc - Multimedia solutions for the future and beyond

You'll need to write a short script to send the results as an email to the appropriate user.

Hello List,

I have been using ASSP for some years now and am very happy with its performance. However, the same cannot be said for my clients. Because of false positives in the past, their perception is that valid email is constantly being blocked. I am regularly asked to check the logs because they believe “important” email is stuck in the filter, when in reality they are simply impatient. While it is amusing to put them on the spamlover list and then have them visit me 48 hours later begging to be taken back off, what I would really like to do is send a daily report itemising all the good and bad email addressed to them that day. Hopefully, seeing all the crap that ASSP protects them from will placate them. (What would be cool is an address like assp-help that would send an up-to- date report instantly.)

Before I re-invent the wheel, does anyone out there do this? Can you give me a clue how to parse the log file?

Thanks – Chris

FYI: 1.3.3.8
I don’t have sys-syslog or net-syslog
