Yes I read that suggestion and there are a few who requested it. And 
they persist, which I can respect. ;-) It seems they don't mind wading 
through spam to find if they missed any legitimate email. I'd say the 
lost resources are worse than the possible consequences of undelivered 
(==blocked) email.

Add to that it's likely to overlook (and as a result ignore) a 
legitimate email in some junkfolder. If said email instead was blocked 
the sender would have gotten an smtp error or such and would know it 
didn't arrive. In the junkfolder case the sender will get mad why you 
never responded because (s)he has no idea you never read it, or read it 
months later.
