In the year 2008, server virtualization is extremely popular and dedicated single-purpose servers are declining. VPS is a very affordable and viable alternative to a dedicated hosted server. If I was in an office environment, managing my own hardware, then sure, it's nothing to add a new server. But if you're colocating or renting hardware, it's much less feasible to deal with the new hardware requirements of ASSP 2
