I disagree...

CONVERTING one file type to another is certainly NOT a normal function
of an anti-spam filter - and as for it being a 'side-effect' - just as
Thomas how much effort he put into getting that 'side-effect' to work...

But if the MTA is going to reject a message, that rejection should occur
at SMTP time.

Again - if one is going to have a certain specific policy in place to
block messages over a certain size, or block certain attachments, the
initial point of entry is the best place for such behavior.

I'm NOT saying that attachment stripping 'belongs' here, I'm just saying
that if it can do it reliably, then it is a viable candidate.

I think Fritz already said he wasn't interested in such a feature, so
its a moot point anyway...
