Part of the update folder is a text file called install.txt :

Install ASSP

To install ASSP you will need to follow the install directions
provided in the ASSP documentation that is included with this install.
Or better yet visit the wiki at http://www.asspsmtp.org/wiki/Welcome
and read the updated documents and articles.

For a NEW installation:
copy the contents of the folder ASSP to a folder called ASSP and then
follow the documentation. ASSP will produce a configuration file
"assp.cfg" on first run. If you want to modify the defaults before
first run, use "assp.cfg.defaults" and rename it to "assp.cfg".

For an UPDATE installation:
make sure to have a backup of the existing ASSP folder

copy the following files to your existing ASSP folder:
- assp.pl
- rebuildspamdb.pl

copy the following folder to your existing ASSP folder:
- images

copy from folder "files" into the folder "files" inside your old ASSP
folder:
- invalidptr.txt
- URIBLCCTLDS.txt
- nodelay.txt
- redre.txt
- ipnp.txt

Attention: Because of the new Password Encryption in version 1.4.3 you
cannot simply fallback to 1.3.3.x.
You have to restore the password in the assp.cfg file if you want to
go back.

Perl Version 5.8 or higher is needed for ASSP 1.1.2 and higher
