Hello list,

I am using ASSP 1.4.3.1 with Exchange 2003 as my back end mail server.
One of my users complained that he was not recieving email from a
customer.

Examining the logs I can see that the email has arrived, is whitelisted,
and has no bad attachments. However, there is no record of it on the
Exchange logs.

Here is a snippet from the ASSP log: (I have obfuscated the actual
addresses)

Feb-3-09 10:24:10 id-56650-06242 [Local] 10.25.129.12 <[Internal
Address]> to: [External Address] local (no bad attachments)
Feb-3-09 10:24:10 id-56650-06242 10.25.129.12 <[Internal Address]> to:
[External Address] whitelist addition: [External Address]
Feb-3-09 10:29:20 id-56959-06995 [Whitelisted] xx.xx.xx.xx <[External
Address]> to: [Internal Address] whitelisted (no bad attachments) **

Feb-3-09 10:30:42 id-57041-07546 [Whitelisted] xx.xx.xx.xx <[External
Address]> to: [Internal Address] whitelisted (no bad attachments)
Feb-3-09 12:52:28 id-65546-06299 [Whitelisted] xx.xx.xx.xx <[External
Address]> to: [Internal Address] whitelisted (no bad attachments)

Interestingly, when my user sent an email with read-reciept, (marked **)
the response WAS delivered to his inbox.

As an aside, this user is on the spamlover list because he distrusts
ASSP. This experience is not helping to modify his attitude. :o(

Could anyone shed some light?

Thanks - Chris
