ASSP does have much more possibilities for checking valid users and IMHO most of the ASSP installations use one or more of them. - flatlist - ldap - ldapcache (also used for vrfy) - vrfy - mailto Checking for valid user is a very important part of ASSP. It is e.g. used for generating Trap addresses. It is used for checking for valid senders and much more. ASSP can check evn users for many different MTAs behind it without setting up a list of all users.
