This can't be right. Why can't you just run two MTA's on the same
computer (a "pre-ASSP" MTA and a "post-ASSP" MTA), and run ASSP on the
same computer as well? When ASSP is done looking at the outgoing mail
that your first MTA sends it, it passes it on to a second MTA -- e.g.,
one which accepts incoming connections on a different port -- which
then sends it on its way. I don't see how Comcast could tell the
difference between an incoming SMTP connection from your first MTA, on
a certain IP address, and an incoming SMTP connection from your second
MTA, on the same IP address. You would just have to run ASSP on each
computer which generates outgoing mail. Perhaps what you are saying
is that you can't run ASSP on a single computer which collects
outgoing mail from several different computers.
