Why can't you create a rule in your Pix that forwards smtp port 25
traffic to the internal IP of your ASSP?

Huh? I didn't say that.  You have to use the ASSP Relay port to receive
emails from your Groupwise server and to forward to the generic SMTP
server I mentioned.

I thought you said you had to forward your messages through Comcast's
email servers.  Really though, it doesn't matter either way.

What I'm not sure of is whether or not a SMTP server is required for the
replies.  I don't think so, but I can't be sure since my pathing is
setup like I mentioned in the last email (MTA-->ASSP-->SMTP
Server-->Internet).

More than likely, it's not setup in ASSP correctly which is why it's
getting bounced back.
