As I recall, a long while back, ASSP used to have a configurable option
to detect (or not) the eicar signature.  This was removed by Fritz at
some point in time but I'm not sure when.  Perhaps it's not up to ASSP
to detect this signature, but up to the Antivirus program.  There may be
a switch in your third-party program that allows detection (or not) of
the eicar signature.
