I seem to have the same problem that William is stuck with, although I'm using ASSP 1.5.1.2(0.0.00) with a third-party scanner. ASSP calls the external scanner to scan all kinds of attachments, but it does not call it for EICAR virus test files from two different sites. For example, I use the test at <http://www.gfi.com/emailsecuritytest/> http://www.gfi.com/emailsecuritytest/ to send myself an EICAR virus test file and get: Sep-28-09 09:32:03 [Whitelisted] 216.134.217.101 < <mailto:[email protected]> [email protected]> to: <mailto:[email protected]> [email protected] whitelisted -- whitelistdb [eicar com 3 5] -> c:/assp/notspam/5048.eml; Note that my server is set to check mail from whitelisted addresses...
