We've been running ASSP for several years and our production box is V1.9.0.

We have setup a new server and have V2.3.3 configured and have mySQL setup
and appears to be configured proplerly and we are almost ready to switch
over. Our goal is to have 2 ASSP servers running and have as many entries
in the assp.cfg use DB: (our mySQL server) as possible.

I was able to configure the following and then used the .add after the
import filename to get them to import into the database:
- pbdb.back.db.(add|rpl)
- pbdb.batv.db.(add|rpl)
- pbdb.black.db.(add|rpl)
- pbdb.dkim.db.(add|rpl)
- pbdb.mxa.db.(add|rpl)
- pbdb.ptr.db(add|rpl)
- pbdb.rbl.db.(add|rpl)
- pbdb.rwl.db.(add|rpl)
- pbdb.sb.db.(add|rpl)
- pbdb.spf.db.(add|rpl)
- pbdb.trap.db.(add|rpl)
- pbdb.uribl.db.(add|rpl)
- pbdb.white.db.(add|rpl)
- ldaplist.(add|rpl)
- redlist.(add|rpl)
- whitelist.(add|rpl)
- spamdb.(add|rpl)
- spamdb.helo.(add|rpl)
- delaydb.(add|rpl)
- delaydb.white.(add|rpl)
- adminusers.(add|rpl)
- adminusersright.(add|rpl)

I read on a post/thread somewhere that as of like V2.2 (I can't find where I
read this now, so the version is probably wrong) you could change any field
that uses file:files/*.txt to DB: and then it will use the Database
configuration for that config parameter.

I've modified a few of them changing them from file:files/ to DB: and them
moved the file that used to be listed in that config parameter to the
dbimport directory and removed the .txt and replaced with .add. Restarted
the ASSP services and it doesn't change the file name to .OK and there is no
new table created in the mySQL database.

I've also notice that when I change the config parameter to DB: and then
apply changes that a new file is created in the ASSP\Files\optRE folder with
the corrosponding config parameter name.txt.

Did I read something incorrectly here?

Can we use DB: for things like
noProcessingIPs,noProcessing,noProcessingFrom?

Is there a specific filename that should be used for the .add file that goes
into the dbimport folder for each of these config parameters?

If I click on edit list for like the noProcessing the file editor comes up
and is blank. I'm not sure how to manually add info into the file editor
box. It asks for it to be formatted as key|::|value, but I am unsure how to
add that for values like what noProcessing accepts. Would it be
u...@domain.com|::| ?

I've added some data into the file editor and saved, but I can't determine
where that info is being save.

Thanks in advance for your help with this. We are really excited to move to
V2, but I want to make sure I don't blow anything up.

JMG
