It could be the two records that is messing it up, I don't know.

I have the SPFsoftfail option enabled. I figure if someone went to the trouble 
of putting in a SPF record, I want to observe it.

interesting, the DNS reports TWO records, that is

dig +short pacificlightingsystems.com TXT

"v=spf1 mx a:glaze.pacificlightingsystems.com ~all"
"v=spf1 mx a:spotlight.pacificlightingsystems.com ~all"

and both of them use the "~all" so the SPF should fail only if some
ASSP override took place turning the mechanism to (say) "-all"
