oh, but if "automatic responses" are valid, that is come from a legit
message "you" sent then they should come through; on the other hand, an
automatic response generated by a spoofed email will be stopped by BATV
(or FBMTV) without problems; the point now is to understand what you
really need; see, dealing with OOF and the like isn't a big issue if we
talk about regular emails but may become one in case we talk about the
so-called "mailing campaigns" (I'd call them another way, but I'll
avoid it for the moment); in the latter case, dealing with OOF serves
to detect if a recipient is reachable or not and to let the automated
software pumping emails make decisions. Now, I'm not exactly sure this
discussion has its proper place on this list; but then, maybe I'm wrong
and I'll let the host (Thomas) decide.
