So I guess the problem is bigger than just gmail inbound TLS encrypted mail for some. The question becomes, "Why?" Why is is slow/unusable for some, but not others? I suspect there are lots more installations run by people who don't participate here who are experiencing the same type of problems. I certainly don't have the answers...
Thomas has tested and tested, including tests on an old (slow?) Windows 2003 box, and isn't seeing issues, but some of us, ,including people how have been around ASSP for a long time, are. So what's the differentiating factor? My machine isn't super fast, but doesn't seem to have trouble with any other speeds in ASSP. There's plenty of ram, disks are relatively speedy, processors are fast enough and multiple core. I have OpenSSL 1.0.2g installed from Shining Light on my win2k12 r2 box, though I don't think this is necessary or used except for creating certificates. (I've always been confused by this) All perl Modules are up to date, including net::ssleay Running ActiveState Perl 5.20.1 > > I just don't know what other useful information to provide, test, etc to help resolve this. With google starting to warn users of unencrypted inbound mail, I believe warnings when sending to known unencrypted servers are next. TLS inbound is just a good idea in general too.
