Each of your questions is answered in the GUI (manual). My question is:
what is unclear written in GUI?

PrivacyLevel of the Whitelist (WhitelistPrivacyLevel) •

Sets the privacy level of the whitelistdb . If a (local) user adds an
email address to the whitelist:

(0) global & private - this email address is automatically whitelisted for
all other local users
(1) domain & private - this email address is automatically whitelisted for
all other local users in the same local domain
(2) private only - this email address is only whitelisted for this single
local user

(0-1) unless another user has removed this email address from his
whitelist. Default is zero, which is the legacy setting.
NOTICE: independent from this setting, the whitelistdb is filled with all
three entries (global, domain, private), to make it possible to change this
value.

Personal Blacklist Database File (persblackdb)
DB:

The file with the personal blacklist. .......

Read the

Email Interface for Reports and List Control

section in the GUI.

It is possible and recommended to let the users manage there white- and
blacklists, but this can be also done by the admins.

Use also private entries for the Bayesian Spamdb and Hidden Markov Model
databases (DoPrivatSpamdb) •

If enabled, private entries (based on the local recipient and/or the
report sender email address) will be added to the Bayesian and HMM
databases. These private entries have a three times higher priority for
users (full email address) and two times higher priority for domains
(domain part of the email address) than global entries. To enable this
option "spamdb" must be set to use a database "DB:" first!
Setting this option to ON, will increase the record count for the spamdb
 and the HMM databases dramaticaly!

>.... directories of each user are read in order .....

ASSP has no such user based folders - are we talking about the same
product?

Betreff: [Assp-user] three questions

Hi all,

I'm still considering using ASSP. I got through its info, but still have
a few questions:

1- does each mail user has his/her *individual* whitelist and blacklist ?
or the whitelist and blacklist is common for all mail users in ASSP ?

2- if the lists (whitelist/blacklist) are individual per user, who
adds/removes
addresses in his/her lists? the user by him/herself or the
administrator?

3- as I could see, the files in the errors/spam, errors/notspam, spam and
notspam directories of each user are read in order to train the
Bayesian
spam filter. Does that mean that each user has his/her own Bayesian
    filter ?

in thank in advance all answers,
Otavio
