the per-user coshell daemon requires password-less ssh or rsh access
to the remote machine pool

first make sure your per-user coshell defaults are set up for
the proper choice of { ssh rsh }
then make sure you can run
        ssh host-in-pool date
(or rsh) without a passwd prompt
