What problems? Which version? It works very, very well for me.

As long as you need to do things the way that [EMAIL PROTECTED] has decided is
the
"correct" way to do things. If you need to step outside of the basic
parameters for which it was originally intended and do any minute amount of customization, the chore becomes ominous. The name of the product is
"Asterisk At Home" not, "Asterisk At A Small Business".

This is definitely FUD. It is called [EMAIL PROTECTED] because it includes an interface for smart-home controllers, not because it only works for household installations. [EMAIL PROTECTED] is simply a bundle of Asterisk, AMP, SugarCRM, FOP, and a number of other goodies. It is not feature limited or somehow hobbled. As has been mentioned on this list before (by me, even...) [EMAIL PROTECTED]/AMP does indeed provide ways to customize the installation. I, for example, have customized it to send a particular ZAP channel to a ring group instead of following the "Incoming calls" settings in AMP.

Now, if you are the type of person who wants unlimited control over asterisk, then you shouldn't use AMP/[EMAIL PROTECTED], because the GUI necessarily places limits on the level of customization you can make. However, I would venture a guess that at least 95% of small businesses are looking for a system that is full-feaured, affordable, and reliable. They are much less concerned with massive customizability. (Witness the success of the AT&T/Lucent/Avaya Partner systems with small businesses. Far less customizable or full featured than [EMAIL PROTECTED])

Tom

PS: We still don't know what version of [EMAIL PROTECTED] gave you problems...
